“Tough times don’t last -tough people do” Dan Pena
From Pamela’s Desk:
Today, as we witness some panic, hysteria and conjured-up toilet paper shortages; I am reminded of this simple, yet true quote by Dan Pena. (Primarily, to help me to maintain my toughness during this uncertain time). The “Toughness”, I believe, that Dan, was speaking of – is not being a bully or genuine A-hole; but rather that toughness quality of the American Pioneer. (those that endured hardships – risk their lives, for that “pursuit of happiness”…from the “land of the free and home of the brave” – and we are worried about toilet paper?) For me, during this mad-cap time of sensualism and over reach; I am moving towards or listening too, those people, to whom, have proven themselves; on being tough and level-headed and not prone to panicking in times of uncertainty. …for life itself is filled with uncertainty, Right? I think I’ll watch It’s a Wonderful Life’ again and listen to George Bailey’s wisdom….Instead of the people that wanted to sell-out to Mr. Potter. Stay strong everyone – for every endeavor worthwhile taking is generally never easy…yet its pursuit and the toughness needed to succeed makes its accomplishment even more glorifying.
